Pubs in Hammersmith

We've yet to put this area to public vote so, for now, we've kicked things off with some personal favourites, including The Dove, which was separately voted among the best pubs on the Thames by Londonist readers. Feel free to nominate other places in the comments below.

Do also try the Blue Anchor on the river, the nearest upstream from the bridge. It's old (1722) and pleasant.

don't forget the anglesea arms, or cross keys, or carpenter's arms.

Would suggest a look at The Distillers (http://www.distillershammersmi... ) which has recently had a renovation and features a number of craft beers. Also the Brook Green, which has both a pub / dining room upstairs ( ) and Smith's, a cocktail bar beneath.

The Andover, a good pub that is attracting hordes of Tripadvisor travellers which may not be a good thing!

The Carpenters Arms tucked away on St Peter's Square.

And the Salutation on King Street, opposite the hideous Town Hall.

Would really recommend The Blue Boat, a wonderful new pub on the Thames. Perfect for summer weather and they have a lovely menu too. I've spoken to some friends who drink in Hammersmith and it's fast becoming a new hot spot.
