This pub was voted one of the best in Victoria Park by Londonist readers.
It's hard not to stop in the Crown if you're heading south out of the park. The grand old Victorian building practically cries out to be entered. You'll be glad you did. Like all pubs in the Geronimo chain, it's cosy, comfortable, relaxing, with a surfeit of sofas and cushions and an emphasis on good food. It's well geared up, then, for family outings and Sunday lunches before an afternoon in the park. An upstairs dining room helps to separate the gastro-seekers from the casual drinkers, but eating downstairs is fine too. Beer choice is competent if nothing noteworthy, but the wine list is the lengthiest we've seen in the area.
Quiz night is Monday.
